A healthier lifestyle
What is a Registered Dietitian?
Registered dietitians are food and nutrition experts, translating the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living. The expertise, training and credentials that back a registered dietitian are vital for promoting positive lifestyle choices.

Registered dietitians (RD’s) have completed academic and experience requirements established by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Association (ADA).  These requirements include earning a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, and the completion of an accredited pre-professional experience program.

RD’s demonstrate thorough knowledge of their field by passing a national credentialing exam administered by CDR.  They are required to stay on the cutting edge of their field by regularly completing professional education to maintain registration.

The RD is qualified by education, experience, examination and continuing education to meet the professional standards established by ADA.
